The specialist makers and component partners we trust in every Munson build.
Every Munson guitar is built as a one-off, but no serious instrument exists in isolation. Alongside our own design and build work, we carefully select pickups, hardware, strings, cases and specialist components from makers we trust.
Some partners are chosen for their British craft and heritage. Others are chosen because their engineering, reliability or tonal performance makes them the right choice for a particular build.
The result is not an off-the-shelf parts list. It is a considered specification, chosen around the player, the instrument and the sound we are trying to achieve.
Trusted Makers and Components

Bare Knuckle Pickups
Bare Knuckle Pickups are hand-wound in the UK and are a natural fit for builds where British tone, clarity and character matter. We use them when a guitar calls for a highly responsive pickup with a strong handmade identity.
Fishman
Fishman Fluence pickups give us another tonal route for players who want modern clarity, consistency and low-noise performance. They are especially useful on builds where versatility, precision and active voicing are part of the brief.

Old Bones Pickups
Old Bones Pickups are handmade in Suffolk, one set at a time. We use them where a build calls for vintage-inspired character, custom voicing or a more personal pickup specification.

GraphTech Guitar Labs
We use Graph Tech where consistency, tuning stability and performance matter most. Their TUSQ nuts and specialist systems help solve real playing issues without getting in the way of the instrument.

Wilkinson
Wilkinson hardware has a long-standing reputation for practical, player-focused design. We use Wilkinson components where they suit the feel, function and visual direction of a particular build.

Gotoh
Gotoh hardware is known for precision, reliability and clean engineering. We use Gotoh bridges, machine heads and hardware where a build needs refined performance and dependable tuning stability.

Hipshot
Hipshot hardware is a strong choice for builds that need modern performance, smooth operation and excellent tuning stability. Their bridges and machine heads work particularly well on contemporary custom specifications.

Rotosound
Rotosound strings are part of British guitar history. We use them because they support the tone, feel and identity we want from a finished Munson instrument.

Hiscox
Hiscox cases have long been respected for lightweight, practical instrument protection. Where available and appropriate, we use protective cases that match the quality and value of the guitar they are made to carry.
