The Mosquito is a light, agile custom guitar platform with a distinctive offset feel and a highly playable body shape. Built to order around your playing style, it can be shaped with your choice of woods, pickups, hardware, controls and finish.
It is designed to feel easy in the hands, comfortable standing or seated, and versatile enough for studio work, stage use and everyday playing.
What makes the Mosquito special?
Light, agile and responsive
The Mosquito is designed to feel quick and easy to play. Its compact body, balanced feel and comfortable contours make it a natural choice for players who want a guitar that feels alive without getting in the way.

Comfortable in more than one position
The body shape is designed to work standing or seated, with a form that sits naturally against the player. It is especially useful for players who move between writing, recording, rehearsing and performing.
Built around your sound
The Mosquito can be voiced in a range of ways, from clear single-coil response to fuller humbucker-driven sounds. Pickups, controls, hardware and wiring can all be chosen around the way you play.

A distinctive Munson shape
The Mosquito has its own character: compact, purposeful and slightly unconventional, while still being practical as a working guitar. It gives you a recognisable Munson design with the details shaped around you.
The name behind the model
The Mosquito takes its name from the de Havilland Mosquito, one of Britain’s most distinctive wartime aircraft. Fast, light and unusually built largely from wood, the “Mossie” became known for its speed, versatility and elegant engineering.
Those same qualities inform the guitar: a lightweight, responsive instrument with a practical, versatile character. It is not a replica or a themed guitar, but the name reflects the same spirit of agility, purpose and intelligent design.

Example Mosquito Build

Every Mosquito is built to order, so there is no fixed standard specification beyond the core platform. This example shows how the model can be shaped through timber choice, neck feel, fingerboard material, controls, hardware and finish.

Shape the Mosquito around your playing style
Start with the Mosquito platform, then choose the details that matter: body timber, neck feel, pickups, bridge, controls, finish and hardware. Each build is made as a one-off, so the final instrument is shaped around you rather than pulled from a standard production spec.
Not sure where to start
A custom build does not need to begin with a full specification. If you have a sound, feel, colour, reference guitar or rough idea in mind, the first step is a design conversation.
