Mosquito Studio HH
The Mosquito Studio HH is a Private Stock Munson built for players who want range, clarity and control without losing the feel of a handmade instrument.
Built around an Ash body, flame maple neck and a pair of hand-wound Bare Knuckle humbuckers, this guitar is designed to move easily between rich clean tones, punchy drive and heavier rock voices. It is not a generic HH guitar. The switching system gives the player a broad tonal palette while keeping the instrument grounded, playable and direct.
This is a finished Munson instrument, available now as part of our Private Stock collection.
Built for versatility
At the heart of the Mosquito Studio HH is a pair of custom hand-wound Bare Knuckle humbuckers with Alnico V magnets.
They deliver a full, articulate clean sound with enough weight and authority for driven blues, hard rock, grunge, punk, classic metal and progressive tones. The result is a guitar with real width: powerful when you need it, but still clear, responsive and musical.
A wider tonal range
The Mosquito Studio HH uses a passive switching system designed to give the player more control over the two humbuckers.

The switching allows access to humbucker, single-coil and parallel voices from each pickup, with additional phase and series options available through the push-pull controls.
This gives the guitar a broad range of usable sounds, from familiar HH power to leaner single-coil textures and more complex combined pickup voices.
Rather than adding technology for its own sake, the system is designed to make the guitar more useful in the studio, on stage and at home.
Ash, flame maple and visible grain
The Ash body has been finished in our Bare Naked finish, allowing the grain and character of the wood to remain visible.
At Munson, we prefer finishes that let the material speak. This guitar uses traditional nitrocellulose lacquer, chosen for its feel, appearance and ability to age naturally over time.
The flame maple neck is finished in satin nitrocellulose, giving it a smooth, fast feel while still protecting the wood. A dual-action truss rod allows precise adjustment.
Crafted in Britain
The Mosquito Studio HH was designed and made in Britain by Munson Guitars.
As part of our Private Stock collection, this is a completed instrument rather than a future commission. It gives you the chance to own a finished Munson build without waiting for a made-to-order slot.
